The Scattered Register of the Namekeeper by Paula Lester

The story follows a namekeeper whose carefully maintained register becomes scattered, creating an unusual problem in an otherwise peaceful magical community. As the characters work to recover the missing pieces, they encounter gentle mysteries, magical surprises, and charming personalities along the way. The novel focuses more on friendship, community, everyday magic, and solving a whimsical problem than on high-stakes conflict, giving it a warm and comforting cozy-fantasy atmosphere.
