Disabled Vietnam vet Derek Jager hasn’t slept a full night since he was wounded during the Tet Offensive a little over two years ago. One of his wounds wakes him every night. One night it wakes him far earlier than normal. Deciding to make a drive to get a midnight burger, he observes multiple different abnormal events, all of which appear to be related.Being an investigator at heart, due to one of his jobs being a stringer for the regional newspaper. He pretty much understands what is happening from the first, but doesn’t feel he has enough to go to the authorities from the start, as some of them seem to be involved.Derek slowly gains more information and evidence, while at the same time, starts learning who he can trust.
